FUN STUFF TO DO:

7 eco-friendly ways to dispose of your pumpkin

  • Compost it
  • Bury it
  • Leave it for wildlife (unless it’s been painted or treated)
  • Feed it to the chickens
  • Make a pumpkin planter–drill a hole in the bottom for drainage
  • Donate it–some zoos and wildlife sanctuaries will gladly accept it
  • Keep it around a little longer. Pumpkins are a harvest season decoration through November
